Welcome to Dinosnores

Dino Snores is an after dark event hosted by the Natural History Museum in London. It is designed to let you experience the Museum in a whole new way and interact differently with the artefacts and building.

“The evening hosts a variety of activities including:
          three live shows
          a delicious three-course dinner
a trip to our galleries and temporary exhibitions
          live music
          edible insect tasting
          an all-night monster movie marathon
Cash bars will be serving drinks and nibbles throughout the night and in the morning you'll be treated to a hot breakfast.” (Dino Snores for Grown-ups, Natural History Museum 2017)

There’s also talks from the curators, comedy and to top it all off you get to sleep in the great hall beneath the blue whale skeleton.

This is a dream to anyone interested in the natural world or anyone looking for a zany way to learn about something new. This is one of the many ways the museum turns themselves into a premium product able to charge customers for something they are able to view completely free any other day of the year. Why is it though that people are willing to pay £160pp to attend? Using Dino Snores I am going to be exploring service dominant logic, its relevance and pitfalls when it comes to Arts Events.
